CNN Irony
CNN interrupted their coverage of the terror attacks in Mumbai, India with a commercial break. The commercial immediately following their coverage as a tourism commercial for India. How amazing and ironic. I recorded the video and uploaded it to YouTube.

Mumbai Terror Attacks – Social Media Coverage Beats Mainstream Media
Within the last few hours, terrorists carried out a coordinated attacks in the city of Mumbai, India, targeting UK and US citizens staying in some of the glitzy hotels in town.
At this point, mainstream media (CNN, MSNBC, Fox, et al.) are finally starting to pickup on the news and cover it. Interestingly enough, social media was right on top of it.
The first news I heard about it was via my Twitter feed:
Thanks to Twitter, we have a lot more, up-to-the-second information available. Flickr user Vinu, is uploading photos he took within the last few hours right now.

Vinu also has a Twitter feed, and when talking about the above image, he remarked, “one thing I will definitely remember is the blood around the scooter and a cellphone ringing somewhere inside the debris!”

Posting My Resume Online
Hopefully everything looks okay! I’m very interested in a community manager position for a social media or networking website.
Interesting side note: I’m using Google’s Grand Central for the public posting of my phone number on the internet. It was free when I signed up for their service last year.
What does this sound mean?
Whenever my 2-year old MacBook Pro is idling, the hard drive makes this faint, but suspicious clicking sound. It’s been doing it for quite awhile now.
Does this mean my hard drive is dying?
[audio:http://daveschumaker.net/audio/harddrive.mp3](Note the sound is very faint and you have to turn your speakers up a bit)
If you can’t see flash player above, here is a link to the mp3.
